James Granger, who was an honor graduate of the culinary
arts program at Del Mar's School of Hospitality Management,
has been appointed to the position of executive chef at
Hemingway's Bar & Grill
Chef James's extensive background includes successful stints at prominent
restaurants in the Coastal Bend, and his professional experience adds stature to the
Hemingway's culinary team. He was sous chef to Bruno COurtin at La Reserve and chef de
cuisine at Bruno's fine dining establishment in Corpus Christi.
Most recently he was executive chef at the popular Laffites on Padre Island.
"My goal is to build upon the strong foundation of the restaurant and broaden its
horizons by continuously creating new and exciting specialties, expanding the focus
on fine wines and implementing innovative services," said Chef James.
"Traditional favorites on the menu will result in a unique dining experience,"
he added.
Chef James is a member of the American Culinary Federation, the Texas Chefs Assoication
and the Advisory Committee of the Del Mar Culinary Arts Program.
